International Coffee Day

Happy International Coffee day! As I'm sure you can imagine, this is a day that's close to my caffeinated heart ☕ ❤️ The coffee plant was first discovered in Ethiopia in the 10th century, but didn't become the beverage we know until the 15th century, starting in the Middle East and then spreading through the rest of the world. The word "coffee" entered the English language in 1582 and traces its roots back to the Arabic word "qahwah" which means 'to lack hunger', and also 'power or energy' - pretty apt for our beloved fuel!

When we were planning the @hollyandcoworkshop, having great coffee was at the top of the list 🏆 A good coffee, like spare time, work/life balance or keys 🔑, is hard to find, so we tested different brands, beans and blends until we were sure we'd found 'the one'. Our perfect match is @scottiescoffeelondon, we fell in love with the unique taste of their coffee and their story, and we haven't looked back since. All their beans are ethically sourced and locally roasted, and they even have a perfect day on which to enjoy them!

So, here's to the americanos, flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, piccolos, and all of the other coffees I can't pronounce - thank you for perking up our days! Now raise a cup with me... ☕
