Join the dots

I know I've written about this before, but this week for me as been a game changer. And, when I look at reasons why things might have happened in the past, I know it was to allow for things to become something now in the future. It really is, something quite magical.

When I think about ‘connecting the dots’, I always think about the late great Steve Jobs. He was a genius who revolutionised the way we live in so many ways; he didn’t finish university, instead choosing to forge his own path.

He said, “you can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backward. You have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma - because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path. And that will make all the difference."

I think this is especially true when you’re on a journey to making your dream a reality, or to living your own ‘Good Life’. Too often the dots get hidden by the brambles and thorns of negative thoughts that shout, “I’ve failed’, “I’m not good enough.” But all they are is a distraction from your path, from trusting your instinct.

When things feel random and out of synch, or when you feel you’ve lost your way a little - do not panic. You're not going to realise why, there and then. But you will one day (promise you) understand. It will become clear why you went, turned and chose (or did not choose) paths you're on today. And guess what, it will all make sense, in the most magical way X
