Inspiration…what is that exactly? Inspiration is defined as ‘the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative’. But as we know, it’s even more than this.
It’s when your cells actually vibrate with joy; your nerves feel like they are magnetic. Your chest starts to feel full and the brain, well it’s bursting. I do this sort of bottom shuffle, the arms and jazz hands start their dance and I almost can’t speak. The ideas are bubbling over and I can’t contain the feeling. And, as we know, it can come from anywhere, anyone, anything. That’s the most amazing thing about this state of mind, it can come when you least expect it. From the most boring of days, to the dullest of journeys. But, it’s also one of those most annoying things to chase, as it hides too!
“I just need some inspiration” – ever said that? I know I have. When you’ve not been around it for a while – it’s a worry. It can panic you. So, that’s why we’ve bought to life this little word, in the Holly & Co Work/Shop. Look forward to sharing more tomorrow.
But for now, a pretty inspirational quote by someone pretty smart:
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination
– Albert Einstein
