Work For A Cause, Not For Applause!

In the thick of preparing for the busiest time of year and just the small thing of our final podcast live of 2019 next week(!) – the team and I all bursting at the seams with exciting ideas and to-do lists longer than our body, let alone arm – I had an experience in my shop that left me feeling a little baffled?shall we say…
.
I sat back down at my desk, overwhelmed with what to do next, and had to remind myself that I’m on a mission to help people. To help and inspire others to create lives that they LOVE, to find their passion and live their most intentional lives… and my purpose is to not shy away from the difficult things, the things that ignite change, but to walk right into them, head on!
.
Don’t get me wrong here, I LOVE doing this, but repeatedly knocking heads with people can be a bit bloody exhausting !!! As the dear Joe Wicks said on the podcast – “it’s important to seek discomfort, to make ‘change’, but it is not easy”.
.
So this is just a little pat on the back for anyone having a moment, where you’re breaking your back to make something work, and someone completely misses the point. Know that when you want to make the change, you have to ruffle a few feathers, but you’re not doing it for the applause, or recognition, you’re doing it because nothing else would make sense. And the world needs a lot more people like that. A silent army, whose duck feet are going ten to the dozen under the water!

Loved this image so much, but cannot remember the source, please do let me know if you know it!
