Kintsugi Candle

Exclusive to Holly & Co!

These unique, Kintsugi inspired candles were handmade by Kina Ceramics. A beautiful item that was developed with Holly so she could remind herself that those hardest moments in business will actually make you better and stronger.

The Japanese art of Kintsugi is the belief that when items are broken, they are still beautiful. So much so that they fill the cracks with gold to highlight and celebrate those imperfections and create a stronger, more unique item than before.

No two of these candles are the same. Each one is decorated with gold joinery that runs through it’s smooth white walls. Handcrafted from fine English Bone China and painted with genuine gold, each one is filled with a White Jasmine scented wax.

A note from Holly…

“Being broken makes you more beautiful”.

This product was created in collaboration with Kina Ceramics to feature in my book, Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Every micro chapter within the book features a unique small business product which creatively captures the key takeaway. I truly believe in the power of small business and wanted to bring the pages of my book to life in a way never done before, and allow you to share in that magic too. Because, believe me, when you do what you love, you’ll want to wear it, have it in your home and shout it from the rooftops too!

Kina Ceramics

Kina Gorska is the founder of Kina Ceramics.  A studio & gallery based in Oxford.

“My adventures in ceramics started as a child and I went on to studied ceramic design.  I’ve been designing and creating ever since.  Using objects that already exist in nature.  Working with bone china, I’m inspired by organic shapes, or natural processes like decomposing malting or dripping.”

Holly worked with Kina to develop our stunning Kintsugi Candle, which is featured in Holly’s Do What You Love book.  The art of Kintsugi, where broken pieces are repaired with Gold to make them just a beautiful as the original, is something that has helped Holly to really appreciate all she’s gone through.
