Ewenique Furniture

Portland, Dorsest

The Ewenique Furniture flock are a range of practical, sturdy and blissfully comfortable footstools who happen to be lifelike, near life-size, sheep. Created by myself in a small workshop on the Island of Portland within sight and sound of the sea, Ewenique Furniture is a range of wonderfully quirky but practical and sturdy sheep-shaped footstools. They are hand-made and combine realistically carved heads with deeply luxurious British sheepskin coats.

The story behind the business
Meet Ewenique Furniture

I started my carving career in 1985 with a five-year apprenticeship making rocking horses before moving on to the demanding area of carousel animals.

A chance commission for a carved sheep inspired the creation of Ethel – mother of all the Ewenique flock.

The sheep are sometimes available in rare breed coats, contact Liz to see what is currently available. They can be personalised with an embroidered message, names and dates on the calico base for an additional charge of £20.
