My father grew up on a a small island off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, where my grandfather caught lobsters and my grandmother knit almost everything they wore (yes, they even had woolly underwear!) I spent my childhood summers with them by the sea, learning how to knit and catch crustaceans. I was hooked!

I now write my own knitting patterns and design my own toys and accessories. I am also the author of a children's book called "Poppy's House", with another book (about lobsters!) coming soon.

While I currently live in Brighton, UK, I designed my lobster and puffin toys while I was living in Newfoundland.
