High Street Shop Award

This award celebrates the independent businesses that are not just surviving, but thriving on our high streets. Those who are keeping our local communities ‘home towns’ not ‘clone towns’ and are showcasing true innovation, uniqueness and bringing ‘less ordinary’ to our grey retail experiences through their creativity and passion. Not only that, but they have become pillars of their community and are acting as a brilliant example of how others might emulate an independent retail space in their own area.

There are two lucky winners for this award: the first will receive £10,000 and the second will receive £5,000. You can read the full Terms and Conditions for The Independent Awards here and read all of our FAQs here.

When you vote in the Independent Awards you’re letting a real person know that you believe in them and what they’re building — as well as giving them a chance to win a cash prize of £5,000 or £10,000, which can really help their business.
