The story behind the business
Meet Kate Jenkins

Hi, I’m textile artist Kate Jenkins. Born in Wales, I picked up a crochet hook aged 8 and…that was it, I was hooked. First, I designed knitwear for fashion houses like Missoni and Marc Jacobs, before heading to sunny Brighton where I’ve been knitting ever since. You’ll see my crochet creations all over the world: in homes from Hong Kong to Hull, hanging in Dutch museums and New York art galleries, as well as on the pages of magazines like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. I love taking the unexpected and turning it into a thing of beauty, with a dash of wit and a nod to nostalgia. Whether I’m conjuring up knitted art for a show, collaborating with Anthropologie on a Christmas decoration, or conjuring up a mini Gucci bag for a shoot, if there’s yarn, stitches, and sequins: I’m in. Whatever I make, I always want my work to make people smile.
