In the humdrum world of nondescript business bags our Compact Briefcase offers you the chance to stand out from the crowd. Previously deployed in active duty for up to 25 years, fighting fires across the UK, the hard-wearing fire-hose is perfectly suited for your daily commute. This classic shape will fit a 14" laptop and has both an internal zip pocket and a padded full-width open pocket for your tablet. The bag can be carried in the hand and also comes with a detachable strap that enables it to be worn comfortably on the shoulder.

50% of profits go to The Fire Fighters Charity

The Elvis & Kresse Compact Briefcase is made from genuine decommissioned fire-hose and the lining is reclaimed military-grade parachute silk.

We also offer a Limited Edition 'Print Room' Compact Briefcase. Made from reclaimed printing blankets combined with our signature decommissioned fire-hose, this version makes a bold statement. The re-engineered printing blanket creates a visually stunning textile that is strong and beautiful to the touch. This iteration maintains all the design features of the full fire-hose version as described above.

Elvis & Kresse

Kent, UK

Elvis & Kresse was established in 2005 to save London's decommissioned fire-hose, hoses that had become too damaged to repair and were going to landfill. We fell in love with these brave old hoses and mounted a rescue.

Today, Elvis & Kresse's highly skilled craftspeople make beautifully designed accessories (bags, belts and wallets) and homeware from 15 different reclaimed materials. We now have several charitable partnerships and collaborations across industries. 50% of profits from the fire hose range go to The Fire Fighters Charity. 50% of the profits from our rescued leather pieces are donated to Barefoot College International. In 2021 Elvis & Kresse also took on a farm in order to establish a regenerative agriculture project, generate their own renewables and implement a host of environmental initiatives.

Sustainable luxury since 2005: rescue, transform, donate.
