  • Made from 1/8" thick baltic birch board, laser cut with a vintage lovers eye illustration applied.
  • Reverse painted black and has a pin securely attached with superglue.

A wooden lovers' eye brooch with a printed vintage miniature, perfect for adding a touch of gothic romance to your outfit. Attach it to your favourite t-shirt, tote bag, hat, purse, or coat for a unique accessory.

The history: Eye miniatures are believed to have originated when the Prince of Wales (later George IV) wanted to send the widow Maria Fitzherbert a token of his love. A miniaturist painted only the eye to preserve anonymity. Reportedly Maria’s eye miniature was worn by George IV, hidden under his lapel, which led to lovers' eyes becoming fashionable.
