Hello, I’m Jo! Self confessed workaholic, forever chasing the illusion of a work/life balance! I came from a creative family and worked in the family textile business as an embroiderer from a young age.

I went off to uni, studied Theatre Design and Set Building and went on to pursue a career working in Theatres as a painter and on Events - living my best life basically! That would only last so long - I got married and became a Mum to 2 children. I wanted be at home with them so my job changed into creating one of a kind and limited edition textile pieces, children’s clothes and embroidered artwork. I first made Party Animals for my daughter, Blossom. They were for her first birthday cake, and later sat on my Market stall as props. Customers often asked about the animals and were keen to buy them… I listened and the animals became the our best sellers and the business evolved into what it is today - A party on a cake!

I love running a business on Instagram, chatting to customers and giving the best customer service I can. Making beautiful things that make people happy is what spurs me on. If the careers advisor at school had told me at 15 years old that I would be making party animals for a living…. I would have definitely believed her!
