Ella Stern
LONDON
Hi! I’m Ella, the designer-maker of Ella Stern jewellery.
My jewellery takes influence from abstract sculpture the Modernist and Biomorphic movements, along with antique jewellery, I design pieces for the unconventional wearer that are bold, modern and sculptural. I love rich texture, imperfection, curvy shapes, wavy lines, asymmetry and bright colours. I don’t ever want my jewellery to feel stuffy or too precious.
Over the years’ my designing and ways of working have evolved hugely. However, traditional silver-smithing techniques have remained at the core of every collection. Every last piece is made by me at my bench in my East London studio.

Born and raised in London, I trained in jewellery design at Central Saint Martins graduating in 2015.
After graduation I took a break from the bench and pursued a career in marketing in the arts and cultural sector.
Throughout my marketing career I had been quietly working on the brand outside my 9-5. After 9 months of furlough in the coronavirus pandemic, I was subsequently made redundant... a blessing in disguise!
I knew this was the moment to throw everything I had into building the business and haven’t looked back since.
Ultimately, I make jewellery to be worn everyday and cherished forever. I know its cheesy, but jewellery is such a great way to mark milestones and be that little reminder of people you love or great times in your life. I believe jewellery is there to be worn and enjoyed - life is too short and nothing should be saved for best!
