Ide, devon
Deep in the rolling hills of Devon, down a winding country lane, you might stumble across our dusty workshop. Most days you’ll find us there too, elbow deep in clay and plaster. Our collection of pretty plaster plaques are sculpted in clay and cast in plaster of Paris. They are inspired by flowers and the natural world, and by the play of light and shade. We make them for the sheer joy of it, and we hope they will bring beauty and cheer to you and your home too.

A few favourite PIECEs
Our workshop is probably best known for designing and making original decorative plasterwork (described by Country Life magazine as ‘the most inspiring plaster decoration of modern times’). We’ve made a wall of fabulous sea creatures for The Goring hotel and a life-size flying horse for Annabel’s nightclub, but that is another story!
Alongside these projects we make the pieces you see here. I’ve long been captivated by the modelling of flowers and leaves in 18th century plasterwork and their portrayal in other decorative arts such as Sèvres porcelain and Chintz textiles. I love the challenge of representing the ephemeral and delicate quality of flowers in the earthy material of clay.
We aim to create pieces that are distinctive and beautifully crafted. One of our customers asked for plasterwork that ‘induces delight’, and we hope you’ll find that here.
