Here at Granny Gothards our wonderful (almost all female!) team hand make luxurious 'restaurant quality' ice creams and sorbets using only the best, natural ingredients.
Our small team of 5 produce artisan ice cream in 20litre batches with milk fresh in from the first milking at Oak Park Dairy, Devon double cream, Somerset egg yolk and our 'secret sugar blend' unique to Granny Gothards. No skimmed milk powders, no colouring, flavours or preservatives - just the very best that Mother Nature offers, made into ice cream!

Established in 2006 on a family farm in the beautiful Somerset levels, Granny Gothards has been crafting artisan ice cream and sorbet for over 15 years, earning a strong reputation for luxury products in the UK and internationally. With our fabulous Amanda at the helm, we’ve grown from producing six flavours in the milking parlour to over 195 flavours for top chefs and high-end restaurants worldwide.
The key distinction of our brand lies in the quality of our ingredients and our artisanal ice cream-making methods. We began as a very small producer, and even as we expanded, Amanda chose to maintain our original approach to ice cream production. While many producers seize the opportunity for growth to scale up operations, Amanda recognized that this would dilute our unique selling proposition. Competing solely on price with established giants in the industry would be a losing battle. Instead, we opted to upscale our artisan product, continuing to produce the highest quality ice cream. This commitment has allowed us to grow our customer base in the foodservice sector and successfully export our offerings, thanks to our clean ingredient profile, exceptional customer service, and bespoke flavour development.
