Hello, I am a British surface designer and muralist who specialises in garden ware. I grew up in Shropshire where my family owned a flower shop and this is where my love for both nature and all things beautiful blossomed.

Striving to champion the underdogs of the everyday. As an artist, I work with striking colour combinations and patterns across a range of household objects and in particular, watering cans to inspire others to whole-heartedly celebrate the world we have.

The story behind the business
Meet Julie-Anne Pugh

My journey to creating the iconic watering cans began while working for some beekeepers to restore hives, and in turn a Dollhouses. In amongst it all, my paint brush touched the watering can which had been living under the kitchen sink.

With such a fantastic silhouette I wanted it to be ameliorated on my mantelpiece. Painting with a childlike happiness we so quickly rid as teenagers, I brought together vibrant colours that turned something once over looked into a centrepiece and realised the artistic potential these everyday objects hold.

Since then I have collaborated with incredible designers, reimagined retail spaces, ran workshops with children & adults alike as well as painting schools. I've had the fantastic opportunity to produce work for the likes of Paul Smith, The Conran Shop and Selfridges and been stocked in Tokyo, Seoul, London and Paris.
