I began my journey in South Africa, dreaming of becoming a fashion designer. As a rebellious teenager, I quit school at 16, determined to carve my own path — refusing to follow the crowd or conform.

Throughout my adult life I've always been captivated by colour, textures and design, even though I'm not a formally trained designer. I worked in the corporate world, paying the bills but missing the passion and purpose I truly craved.

Then one day I realised — sometimes you just have to start. To be brave, to work hard, to stay flexible and to keep pushing forward.

My muse was my beloved dog Kika, who passed away in April 2026 after five years of unwavering companionship. Her name inspired everything I do and her spirit lives in every piece I make. I started with something simple — a dog bed that was beautiful, meaningful and made to fit into a home, not a cheap mass-produced piece. Kika Bespoke grew from that moment and from her.

I am obsessed with velvet — timeless, rich in colour, impossibly soft and unashamedly luxurious. The linens are a newer addition — season appropriate and texturally beautiful, the perfect contrast to the smoothness of velvet. Together they create something unexpected and considered.
