I started teaching myself how to embroider basic stitches into paper at the start of lock down, and immediately fell in love with the textures and contrast of embroidery against paper.

From an early age I remember visiting antique and 2nd hand shops with my mum, marvelling at the unique items that had often been discarded by the owner. I still love the excitement of finding something unloved and giving it a new lease of life, and this is where my passion for turning vintage photos into fun, whimsical pieces of art with more intricate, complex embroidery techniques stems from.

Receiving copies of your precious photographs, whether it's a family, pet, wedding, baby or couples photo, fills me with absolute joy. I feel truly privileged creating a memorable embroidered piece, working with you on design and colours, that can be cherished for years to come.
