The bright, rainbow colouring with the textured stitching, which have been beautifully represented in the print, make this a really striking piece.
I loved turning this somewhat sombre outfit in to a real show stopper fashion piece, with her face portraying the look of "what this old?" as if it's not the most eye-catching piece!
The original photograph is one of my own family photos dating back to the 1940's. I hand stitched rows of looped turkey stitch in rainbow colours, before cutting and trimming each individual stitch, and then brushing and fluffing up to give this textured 3d look.
A wow factor piece for the lover of vintage and the lover of bright, colourful, whimsical art.

The original photograph was professionally photographed, and turned into a professionally printed giclee fine art print.

Professionally giclee printed on to beautiful 300gsm 100% cotton smooth paper.
The likeness to the original image is absolutely stunning.

One of my favourite things is to hunt out beautiful, but discarded vintage photos and give them a new lease of life. I love designing, then adding, hand embroidered embellishments to give them a fun, whimsical update. I then have these pieces professionally turned into fine art giclee prints.
