I loved turning this somewhat sombre outfit in to a real show stopper fashion piece, with her face portraying the look of "what this old?" as if it's not the most eye-catching piece!
The original photograph is one of my own family photos dating back to the 1940's. I hand stitched rows of looped turkey stitch in rainbow colours, before cutting and trimming each individual stitch, and then brushing and fluffing up to give this textured 3d look.
