When I first saw this image, I knew there had to be something unexpected going on in the background, unbeknown to the happy couple in their holiday snap!...

When I first saw this image, I knew there had to be something unexpected going on in the background, unbeknown to the happy couple in their holiday snap!
The panto call of "He's Behind You!" came to mind and out of the water emerged a hand embroidered octopus in pops of red, coral, orange and peach colours.

This original vintage photograph dating from the 1950's was meticulously hand embroidered, before being professionally photographed and professionally giclee printed to produce these stunning fine art prints.

One of my favourite things is to hunt out beautiful, but discarded vintage photos and give them a new lease of life. I love designing, then adding, hand embroidered embellishments to give them a fun, whimsical update. I then have these pieces professionally turned into fine art giclee prints.
