When I was growing up my parents owned a needlecraft shop, and I would spend a lot of time either helping behind the counter or stitching up kits. I then went on to have a 20-year long career as a civil engineer, but the arrival of my son led to a revaluation of my priorities, and I established Little Light Stitchery in 2018. Reinvigorating my love of needlework seemed like a natural next step for me.

The slow nature of wielding a needle and thread to create something personal, that takes time and thought, that can make someone smile, think, remember, is core to my business. It’s as much in the process as the finished product for me, which is why I bring you both stitched hoops or kits if you’d like to have a go yourself!
