London

Nic Brittin Studio is my creative home.

A place where textiles and homeware are made with loving hands. Where childhood memories, the natural world and my love of colour combine to create lifelong textiles.

Invested in pleasure and beauty, these pieces are made with love. With a hope that you will make memories gathered around them

The story behind the business
Meet Nic Brittin

My childhood was split between schooling in London and traveling to the US for holidays. A cunning way my parents could spend time with their kids during the holidays but also work (as PR in the tech industry.) My memories of this time is watching movies on airplanes, cartwheeling into motel pools, eating Bugles in the back of hire cars and massive plates of food (mainly pancakes). These long road trips to the sound of country music left me with powerful visuals of family holidays and America in the 80’s and 90’s. Visuals that influence all my creative work today.

In my 20’s I became a makeup artist in the fashion industry until my journey took an unexpected turn when I discovered a passion for block printed textiles and simultaneously inherited a 70-year-old sewing machine after the passing of my mother. Having always been captivated by the transformative power of colours and textures, I embraced this exciting transition, now combining my expertise in colours and past aesthetics with the art of block printing, allowing me to design and produce mesmerising textile creations.
