I’m Nicola and I make ceramics from earthenware clay. I’m based in the town of Margate and I take my inspiration from anthropology, folklore, popular culture and nature. I’m very lucky to have an array of museums and attractions nearby that help inspire my creations, along with the amazing and varied shorelines and vistas we have here in Thanet. All my pieces are lovingly made and painted by hand, in small batches. Each piece is unique.

The story behind the business
Meet Nicola Lebon

I have been working with clay for 6 years now. It started with a morning course at my local adult education centre. From the start I was hooked, and I now reinvent with clay - taking references from anthropology, popular culture and nature. Mainly I work in ceramics, but I also like to combine that with other materials, such as fabric and wood to create fun and original products. Everything is handmade by myself in small batches.
