Noolibird Handmade Stamps

I set up Noolibird in 2003, I wanted to share my love of printed patterns and lino cutting. Stamps seemed to be an ideal way to translate my designs and a perfect small business to run from home. Since then we have continued to evolve the stamp collection, due to my love of exploring new ways of creating and combining pattern and colour and the range of designs has expanded way beyond what I would ever have imagined!
I love to encourage creativity in others and although I work mostly on my own, I never feel lonely as every day I am hearing from my customers all over the world. I get tantalising little snippets of their life as well as getting to hear about and see the beautiful cards and crafts they create.

My childhood was spent in the beautiful viIlage of Firle in East Sussex with three boisterous brothers and numerous furry friends for company!
My Mum and Dad set-up and ran one of the UK's first mail order businesses, Clothkits which was a huge inspiration to watch grow and be a part of ... literally, as my brother's and I and various friends and relations ended up modelling for the brochures!
I have no doubt these early experiences helped shape my love of pattern and design and I went on to study textiles at Winchester school of Art ... followed by a move to London and working freelance, designing fashion prints for the European, Japanese and American market. From there I was fortunate enough to work full time as an in-house designer for Jane Churchill for three years designing wallpapers and fabrics.
I now live a stone's throw from the sea just outside Brighton with my husband Daniel who helps with the website and photography, and our three lovely sons and dear labrador Toki.
