Princetown Press
Dartmoor, Devon
At Princetown Press, we do things the hard way. Nothing is efficient, and only the lights are powered by electricity. From our workshop in rural Devon, we use heritage craft techniques, hand-powered printing presses, and British-made recycled papers to create printed ephemera that inspire and delight.

Printing has always been a part of founder, Emma’s life. From before she was born, her mum had a printing press. Several years ago, she rescued the press from her mum’s basement and started using it to send weekly postcards “back home”. One press turned in to eight, and the weekend hobby became a business. Always staying true to the heritage craft nature of letterpress, Princetown Press prints with a “kiss” impression, barely marking the surface of the paper to ensure the longevity of the vintage metal and wood type that they use. Joined by her partner, Jon, Princetown Press continues the tradition of heritage craft printing from the heart of Dartmoor National Park in Devon using vintage tools and techniques. Using British-made tools and materials wherever possible, they are a true champion for other small businesses across the UK.
