Rebecca Edelmann Ceramics
Bristol
Rebecca Edelmann is a Danish potter who started making her own ceramics while on maternity leave with her first child a decade ago. She has since sold her work to galleries and shops all over the world.
She has a little sunlit but mostly quite messy studio space at the mixed makers studio Inbristol Studios where she has been since 2018, working as a full time ceramicist since 2020
The rest of time she spends with her partner the poet Joel Scarfe and their two children.
Rebecca came to the UK in 2001 to study Art History, and after realising that she wanted a more hands-on approach to art, started making sculptural pieces, which meant a return to working with clay, something she had loved as a child. She has slowly been building her love for making ceramics into a full time business which is still an all consuming passion.
