Soodle Street Studio
Norwich
Soodle Definition: To walk in a slow or leisurely manner.
Inspired by a love of architecture, history, renovation and colour, Soodle Street Studio offers a growing collection of paper products including digital prints, greeting cards, postcards and bespoke original artwork.
Each illustration is hand-collaged from unwanted paper such as old magazines, junk mail and advertising; celebrating the simple joy of re-using waste material to create something new, worthwhile and desirable.
Soodle Street Studio is the invention of collage artist Caitlín Bane; a home for her hand-collaged recycled paper illustrations.
Graduating from the University of Plymouth with a first class degree in Fine Art and Art History, Caitlín went on to gain a Masters in History of Art from the University of East Anglia. Originally from Hertfordshire, Caitlín now lives in Norwich, UK.
Caitlín creates paper collage illustrations inspired by architecture, wanderlust and an interest in history, sustainable preservation and a instinct to play with colour.
Soodle Street Studio aims to be as kind to the planet as possible in both process and product. Each illustration is hand-collaged from discarded paper that would otherwise be thrown away such as junk mail, advertising and old magazines.
