Our cosy spot in Marske-by-the-Sea is all about blending the old with the new. Inspired by the Prohibition era, a time when creativity knew no bounds, we pour that same spirit into every bottle.
We love keeping it local and being sustainable. Our cocktails feature fresh fruits from the village fruit shop and are crafted with care, partnering with local brands wherever we can. We aim to bring our community together and promote the talented artisan makers close to us.

A few favourite PIECEs
The Prohibition Collection was born from the passion and creativity of Jordanne and Francesca, a husband-and-wife team. Our journey began when Francesca signed the lease for a building in August 2019, with dreams of opening a 1920s themed cocktail bar in March 2020. Things didn’t go as planned, as we all know, but at least it gave the bar a name – The Lockdown!
What began as crafting cocktails in-house to allow customers to enjoy a late-night tipple after last orders quickly became something more. We now stock our bottled cocktails in local bars, attend farmers markets, and ship across the UK.
We’re proud to support local producers and ensure our cocktails are made with the finest ingredients. Our HR representative, Lily the boxer dog rescue, keeps us in line and reminds us of the importance of a friendly, welcoming environment.
