Portia uses a variety of materials and tools when creating her art work – pencil, pen, watercolours, gouache, digital – she loves to combine a bit of everything. She is a competent user of Adobe programs such as photoshop and illustrator and has over 10 years experience in product design. Not only does she create products for her own store, she offers her design services to many other companies and clients. One of Portia’s favourite things to design is seamless patterns which have been used by hundreds of fabric and clothing companies worldwide.

Portia's studio commits to being as eco-concious & sustainable as possible. Paper & wooden products are Forest Stewardship Council certified & we print with sustainable & began inks. When outsourcing products which aren’t made in house, these production companies are researched thoroughly ensuring everything is eco-friendly & made as locally as possible. The majority of packaging is recyclable & every purchase goes towards planting a tree in the ecology forest. We all need to do our bit.

Portia enjoys supporting children. After becoming a Beaver Scout leader in 2023, she gained the confidence to start hosting her own art workshops for children which she now hosts on a weekly basis, often supporting mental health and neurodiversity by using learnt art therapy practices. After navigating PTSD induced anxiety herself, Portia took a keen interest in mental health and studied the brain intensively during undergoing hypnotherapy. Portia went onto to complete a level 2 course in Children’s Mental Health & a Diploma in Art Therapy. This has aided her to work closely with children across all spectrums. Portia started creating free creative resources for children to download and use and during lock down. She has continued to upload free resources to support children’s mental health, home-schooling and creative school break activities.
