The future is female founded
At Holly & Co, supporting, championing and empowering all those who identify as female founders is in our DNA, so we do it year round. Then each March we go all out especially to mark International Women’s Day. That’s why we drive all our efforts to support this and dedicate our Work/Shop solely to shining a light on all kinds of female founders and their businesses.
Female Founder Empowerment Kit
Why do we think the future is female founded? Because in a world set up around men, being able to work in the way we choose to, being creatively and mentally fulfilled, and staying firmly in charge of our own destinies and finances has never mattered more. We need flexibility to achieve equality and that means building our own businesses, busting stereotypes and showing the world that #ThisIsWhatAFounderLooksLike.
Within this kit you will find details of our new challenge as well as artwork, shareable social media assets and information. We want you to get creative and use them in the best way possible to connect with your community. Post them on social or turn them into a placard – whatever you think will gain the most traction. Just please make sure you tag @HollyTucker, the artist (more information about that in the kit) and use the hashtag #ThisIsWhatAFounderLooksLike.
Help us to encourage as many people as possible to redress the balance and support women-owned businesses this year.

From our own female founder...
Holly has made it her life’s work to champion small businesses and help other female founders on their own journey. Grab a cuppa and read some of her thoughts on this subject:

Why entrepreneurship is the new women’s movement
In our latest article, Holly reminds us how building a business is a way for women to take their destinies into their own hands, and why entrepreneurship is the new women’s movement.

Emotional labour: a woman's work is never done
Emotional labour is a very female issue that covers all the things we often ‘just do’ as women. In this article, Holly discusses the woman's 'never-ending list' and the game changers she's found to tackle it.

What it’s like to be the breadwinner of the family
Holly talks about the 'taboo' subject of being the main breadwinner and the person responsible for the welfare of her family - and she pledges to talk about this more to help build a better and more equal world.
Tozer Signs
To bring our theme to life in the Work/Shop, we have collaborated with sign-writing extraordinaire, Tozer from Tozer Signs. She embodies everything we believe about the female-founded future, and we are big fans of her work; in fact, she was one of our Independent Award Nominees. Bringing her modern and distinctive creativity to the centuries-old techniques of hand painting signs, Tozer is a genius of her craft, bringing her colourful murals to high streets around the country (and now, excitingly, to St Margarets). On top of all that, she’s a champion of her fellow female signwriters, a proud cheerleader for women-led businesses and an active advocate of International Women’s Day. Follow her @TozerSigns.
Community spotlight
In January, we asked our Holly & Co community to nominate their favourite female founders to live on our rosette wall this March. We had thousands of amazing nominations that we had to whittle down to our ten fantastic winners — and we couldn’t be prouder to share them with you here.
Female Founder Podcast Collection
On her weekly podcast, Conversations of Inspiration, Holly speaks to top entrepreneurs and founders. Over half of her guests are inspiring women in business. Listen, share and shout about these episodes to help us change the landscape for future female founders!
