A set of brass weights of approximately 70gms each for use with your sewing patterns or papers. My ‘Anchors Aweigh’ vintage style design includes three weights - a ship with two anchors - & is made from repurposed solid brass plumbing parts. They are hand polished & stuffed with Shetland felt & super soft British lambswool so they can also mind any stray pins & needles. The weights come delicately wrapped in vintage sewing pattern tissue & fit snugly in this circular box with fabric printed lid. They are satisfying to handle, with an industrial feel & a nod to vintage cotton reel labels, making a unique, functional and stylish gift.

The Industrious Maker

priddy, somerset

Hello! I’m Gill, and I create craft storage and accessories for 'The Industrious Maker'. I am inspired by vintage packaging and sewing ephemera and I love to utilise and re-purpose materials in playful and unusual ways. I make a range of items such as embroidery hooped pin cushions, sewing pouches, needle books and pattern weights. My focus is on creating functional storage and display solutions which are a pleasure to own and a unique and thoughtful gift for the creative and busy maker.
