That’s why at DEEP Almond Butter, we prioritise our environmental impact: We source our almonds from a family-owned farm in Spain (instead of California or another distant region). We selected them because of their commitment to ecological and sustainable agriculture - they use dryland farming techniques which requires significantly less water than the standard almond farming process and they sell their almond shells as a by-product for biomass fuel. Wherever possible, we work with small, family-run businesses and prioritise those based within the UK, to minimise our carbon footprint.
