*Each dish is hand built and therefore there will be variations in each piece, with some being slightly smaller and some slightly bigger.

Description

Small pinch pot trinket dish, complete with a pesky fly!...

Small pinch pot trinket dish, complete with a pesky fly!
These dishes can be used to hold anything from your jewellery to your salted peanuts.

These dishes are mainly made by using the scraps of clay leftover from slab built products like plates and flat trinket dishes.

The fly on each dish is added by ceramic transfer of my original painting.
For this process each pot is hand built and goes through it's first bisque firing, then is clear glazed and goes through it's second high temperature firing.
Then, I have created a watercolour painting of the fly, which is scanned in and printed on specialist ceramic transfer paper. The transfer is placed onto the glazed dish and then goes through a third and final firing, fusing the transfer into the surface of the dish.

Each dish is individually hand built using a pinch-pot method and therefore varies in size and shape.
