A vibrant, hand-cut indigo blue collage framed in white, inspired by textile patterns and folk art. This unique, intricate artwork is made with watercolour painted papers in shades of deep indigo blue, using paper sculpting techniques to give depth to the flowers and bird motifs.
Drawing on my background in textile design, my original artworks take inspiration from historical printed fabrics and experiences of domestic life. My commercial design has always found a starting place with collage. Relatively recently I have developed a fine art practice producing larger artworks for display and I am pleased to be able to offer a small number of these works for sale exclusively on Holly & Co.
