HAND WOVEN FLATWEAVE
The rugs have no pile because they are woven and not knotted. The flat weaves are woven by hand on a loom resulting in a flat rug which is not as soft or as thick as a hand knotted rug. Slow hand woven vintage rugs are so well made, they are extremely hard wearing and made with natural fibres that are easy to clean, vacuum or wipe down.

SUSTAINABILITY
Keeping beautiful treasures in circulation for generations to come, this is what we are supporting. Buying an old rug that has been in existence for 40 plus years and not using up any of our planets precious resources is a good thing.
The artisans used dyes from natural pigments and to fade the colours the rugs are laid out in the blazing sun. There is no plastic or man made fibres, just woven wool with a wealth of well-trodden history. The wool's lanolin oil is a natural stain repellent.
How truly remarkable and unique to welcome such a piece into your home. In many instances this will end up being passed down the generations with your own family history pressed into these genuinely original rugs.
