A subtle sprinkle of silver, a scalloped edge, sustainable natural materials, all made in one of the loveliest workshops we have ever visited, these handmade mats tick a lot of boxes for us!
These rugs are crafted using traditional weaving techniques, starting with the braiding of jute strands, which is done by women at home. These braids are then stitched together at our workshop with a zig zag pattern to keep them securely in place.
They are as durable as they are beautiful and perfect to dress up any space, from a door area to a bathroom.
Handmade in the countryside outside Jaipur.
100% jute, a sustainable natural fibre which needs minimal water and chemicals to grow.
Upcycled silver tape detail running through.
62x92cm approx.
Vacuum clean and spot clean only.
An anti slip rug is recommended under (not included).
*Some shedding is normal and might occur due to the natural fibres. This will subside after a few weeks with the help of some regular vacuuming.
Please note that each mat is individually made. You may find slight variations in texture and colour. We believe these add charm and tell a story, making each product unique.
Our rugs are transported folded. Any fold marks as a result of this will disappear after little while. To help speed the process, you can lay your rug on the floor in direct sunlight for a few hours, or simply lay something heavy on any areas that need it for a day or so.
