Description

Our fabulous block printing kits contain everything you need to print your own textiles at home. We have packed all the bits and pieces inside a recycled cardboard box featuring a design made with the actual kit's block motifs. The set comes with a ready-to-print tea towel, but the fun doesn't need to end once you are done with this! You can print onto other fabrics, and create anything from cushion covers to fabric lampshades.

The blocks can be washed and used over and over with any other block printing inks or even chalk paint, so you can paint onto paper too and make wrapping paper, notecards, wallpaper or anything else you can think of.

We have designed 3 simple blocks which offer a huge range of pattern possibilities when combined in different ways.

Need to know

Our kit includes:

3 hand carved blocks made by our artisans in Jaipur.
Stripe block is 9cm x 3.5cm.
Small circle diameter is 3cm.
Half circle is 9cm x 4.5cm.
Cotton drawstring bag in our dot dot print.
2 pots of Pebeo Setacolour opaque water based fabric paint : Buttercup & Cinnamon or Sky Blue & Cinnamon. Made in France.
1 x 100% off white cotton tea towel. Made in the UK. 78cms x 48cms in size (can slightly vary).
2 x foam stipplers with wooden handle.

Please note the blocks have been individually carved and slight variations may occur.

We advise you to use any old fabric under your tea towel when printing, as colours might transfer onto your table underneath (colours are water based). To fix colours, iron on the reverse side of the fabric for 5 minutes. After ironing, colours will be resistant to washing at 40°C. Our paints are made in France by Pebeo, a company that has been making paint since 1919. These paints have been selected as we believe they are made with the best pigments and offer excellent covering.
