Ready to snuggle? Our quilts are soft as clouds and entirely made by hand: from the carving of our design onto the wood and the block printing, to the hand filling in the fluffiest cotton and the final running stitches. Truly special pieces that will become heirlooms to be treasured for years.
These quilt features our signature Ume print, inspired by the flowers of the Japanese apricot tree and our love of retro textiles.
When creating a woodblock print, the design is first traced onto translucent paper, to guide the block maker who then slowly carves it out of wood using a hammer and chisel. The printer then dips the blocks into a pad that holds the different dyes.
One block per colour is then stamped carefully and precisely by hand, to start building up the design, layer by layer.
Hand block printed by artisans in India.
King Size (approx) 250cm x 290cm.
100% cotton voile outer.

Eco-friendly AZO-free dyes.
Hand-quilted.

Each quilt is individually printed and made using traditional methods. You may find slight variations in pattern and colour as each artisan will print with different pressure, in his own way. We believe these add charm and tell a story, making each product unique.
