Pink And Floral Cocktail Cabinet

Lovely little cocktail cabinet (or cabinet for anything!) Decorated using a combination of decoupage and paint. The florals are taken from a vintage painting. I have painted across the top in thick layers and distressed it heavily all over to age it and to show the pink undercoat. The pinks have been custom mixed and are deeper pink on the sides and I have layered them to crate depth and texture. The text appears in the pink of the undercoat. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece. 

The decoupage has been printed in fade resistant ink designed to last up to 100 years before any fading occurs. 

Finally, varnished with a water- based floor varnish to create a durable finish. 

This is a refurbished piece so there may be dinks, knocks, life marks etc but the whole thing is sturdy and solid. This a reproduction piece and is of a high quality mahogany veneer. The doors latch and lock, with original keys still present. I have added tassles to the keys.  The drawer slides easily. There's a pull-out work surface. The back of the top cupboard is mirrored and I have painted the insides of the doors chartreuse green. Both cupboards have a removeable shelf.
