The Allen Keys Aren't Just for Assembly:
Every Oak & Sprout vehicle arrives fully assembled — but that's just the beginning. With the included Allen keys, children can disassemble, explore, and rebuild. It's STEM learning disguised as play: threading, turning, problem-solving, and the pride of putting it all back together.
The Materials:
We use naturally colourful exotic hardwoods because children deserve better than paint and plastic. Every piece is sanded smooth and finished with a child-safe natural oil. The colours you see are the wood itself - no stains, no dyes, no shortcuts.
Crafted from three hardwoods:
Maple: Pale, clean-grained and smooth to the touch. A perfect contrast to the deeper tones around it.
Padauk: Vibrant coral-red that mellows to a warm brown. Naturally resistant to wear.
Walnut: Deep chocolate brown with fine grain. A classic hardwood prized for centuries.

No paint, no plastic: what you see is the true grain and hue of the wood, finished with a child-safe oil that invites little hands to touch, turn and explore.
The boom pivots up and down and the bucket really scoops, so children feel how machines work rather than just watch them. And because an Allen key is included, the excavator becomes “work” in the Montessori sense: purposeful assembly and maintenance. Tighten, loosen, rebuild—again and again—until the movements become calm, precise and confident.
