Reducing studio waste...

Reducing studio waste.

Paper is a delicate medium and occasionally prints may arrive at my studio damaged, get knocked or dog eared. I’ve always thought it was a shame to throw away or recycle these imperfect prints so I decided to repurpose them.

These swallow decorations are made from prints that would otherwise go to waste but instead, I hand cut them with a sharp blade and hang them from vintage (inherited!) embroidery thread.

Need to know

Swallows vary in size up to around 15cm in length.

You will receive one (or maybe two if they’re tiny!) hand cut paper swallow. Please note that the print and thread will be random and may not match the swallows in the photos.

They may be made from paper but they are sturdy. Hang them from door handles, hooks, or use a tiny strip of tape to add them to your gallery wall.
