At Argent and Sable, we create one-of-a-kind illuminated signs inspired by the magic of old fairgrounds, cabaret and circus life.
From their Norwich workshop, husband-and-wife team Dan and Dusty design, make, paint and illuminate every piece by hand using carefully sourced reclaimed wood, authentic fairground bulbs and a love of colour, words and vintage fonts.
Whether it’s a bold star, a playful phrase or a bespoke commission, each sign is designed to bring joy, character and a touch of wonder into your home.

For nearly 12 years, Argent and Sable has been the shared passion of Dan and Dusty — a true creative partnership. Dusty, the maker and illuminator, brings craftsmanship and technical brilliance, while Dan, the painter and designer, adds artistry and detail to every sign.
Inspired by their love of circus, cabaret, and the eccentric beauty of popular culture, they began turning reclaimed wood into radiant works of light art — each piece with its own story, texture and personality.
What started as a fascination has become a way of life: making signs that are not only personal and bespoke, but that make people smile every time they light up.
