I graduated with a degree in footwear design from the University of the Arts London in 2016 and have spent nine years immersed in the fast-paced world of fashion as an accessories designer for the UK high street.

Whilst I adore fashion, Bertie Valentine was born from a need for a creative outlet that offered the freedom to have busy hands and a full heart. I discovered the art of paper flowers when we were planning our wedding and quickly became obsessed with the colour and form they added to our home.

What started as a hobby soon morphed into a business that focuses on the love of the product – decorative pieces that aren’t going to harm the environment or anyone in it and, above all, remembering that the customer is a living, breathing human being who deserves a product that has been handled with love all the way through its creation.
