I have been a full time artist specialising in traditional signwriting and gold leaf gilding for over 8 years. I am so fortunate to be able to call this my job and enjoy each client's project, however big or small.
Gilding is a decorative technique of applying gold leaf to a surface by way of oil gilding, water gilding or acrylic gilding. I use 23ct gold leaf in all my glass gilding, and often combine designs to use mother of pearl shell.
My bespoke art pieces are all hand painted onto the back of glass and use two layers of gold leaf, using a technique known as 'verre eglomise'. These pieces make great anniversary or birthday gifts, or for anyone looking to add some colour and fun to their own walls.

Meet Buck & Bear Design
I started Buck & Bear Design after my husband's good friend, Bertie Buck, suddenly passed away at 29 years old. I was on the brink of turning 30 myself, and it was the reality check I needed to do something bigger with my life.
Nearly 8 years on and I’ve never been happier! I get to be creative every day, I've met some amazing people and been a part of some incredible projects which I never dreamed possible.
I’m so proud of the brand that I’ve built. I love to create art on glass as it's a sustainable practice - all my frames are wooden, all pieces are glass, and all packaging is re-used and re-purposed.
