Drawing for as long as I can remember, I started out by creating animal illustrations for special occasions for my loved ones. This developed into handmade, black & white Christmas cards in 2018, using Christmas hats to make the drawings pop. Drawing animals gives me an opportunity to discover more about the weird and wonderful creatures that share our world, and I found the small hats contrast brilliantly with the animal's character. The hats stuck, and before I knew it I was developing a full range of watercolour-painted Christmas cards.

I established ceesawcards in 2020, using the long hours of the Covid pandemic to build a business and print my cards professionally. The party animals quickly followed the Christmas range, and continues to expand as I find more and more animals to draw, producing graduation and one-off 'animal moment' cards. My friends and family continue to inspire my designs and collections, from the choice of animal to the colour of their hat. With never ending possibilities, the collection will only get bigger!
