Hello and welcome to my store Classic Cassette Prints! My name is Glen Arkadieff, and I am a London based artist and photographer.

I began photographing tapes after rediscovering my cache while going through my old belongings during a visit to my childhood home in Australia. That discovery inspired the idea of documenting the collection.

The moment brought back memories not just of the music, but of the look and feel of the tapes… the wear and tear were as emotive as the music itself. Among the collection were mixtapes, as well as many tapes that were “borrowed,” fell in love with, and never returned. I’d see a tape and remember who I borrowed it from, when I bought it, or where I was when I listened to it. I wanted to celebrate that feeling and combine my collection with my photography.

It has been a decade since I began photographing my collection, and I continue to seek out rarer tapes while expanding my catalogue. Over the years, I’ve sold limited edition prints to music fans, industry professionals, and celebrities across the globe.
