My wonderful husband is a serving member of the RAF and I am enormously proud of his career. However, whilst it brings some huge positive influences to our lives, there have been some challenging lifestyle changes, that have taken some getting used to. There is always a relocation on the horizon and I initially found the upheaval quite hard. Setting up Cottontail has given me some much needed continuity in my ever changing life! I can pack it up and take it with us wherever we are posted in the UK. It also enables me to spend more time with our incredible daughter which is so precious.

Each move has inspired new designs and products, for example, with our most recent move to Cornwall I have created lots of beach themed bags and scavenger hunts. ​

I feel the personalisation included in my hand printed items is definitely what sets me apart from others. When our little girl was born I felt such a connection to anything with her name on and so I wanted to have this option on all the items that I make for others. ​

Sustainability is something I’m incredibly conscious of. I put a lot of emphasis on the reusability of my products and encourage us all to ditch single use products like wrapping paper and replace those with reusable alternatives like a personalised gift sack that can be reused year after year. My designs are multi-generational and I believe they can be enjoyed at all stages of life. My packaging is also plastic free.
