D is for Dyslexia

Hi I’m George. I am a twelve year old boy; I am also: kind, thoughtful, funny, creative, sensitive, smart, DYSLEXIC. I have ADHD too, but I don’t want my neurodiversities to define me. Neurodivergence is not a choice, but an acceptance of it is. Through my products I am hoping to initiate positive conversation around neurodivergence, with the aim of raising self esteem and awareness for the neurodivergent community. Let’s celebrate the minds of ALL kinds.
I might be only twelve years old, but neurodivergence has already massively impacted my life to the extent that I no longer attend mainstream school; though I am smart, my dyslexic brain, ADHD and school were just not a good fit, I am now a self learner and am happy that way, though I wish more people understood neurodivergence - there are a lot of us out there!!!! There is quite a collection of Neurodiverse brains in my family, between us we have: Dyslexia, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome and ASD… we are a neuro-spicy family and we wouldn’t change a thing! I’m happy I don’t have a Neurotypical brain; I think my brain is magical. Through my products I am hoping to initiate positive conversation about neurodiversity, with the aim of raising self esteem and awareness for the neurodiverse community, and a little more understanding and patience from the neurotypicals out there!
