EKA
hadstock, CAMBRIDGE
I love crochet, that's it, that's everything! Creating something using just yarn and a hook feels incredible. I work together with a fair trade township Auroville to produce my timeless collection.
EKA started as a hobby in 2003 when I was snowboarding, skip forward, a lot of time, and here we are!
I live in the countryside with my lovely little family and Penny the dog.
EKA has grown into my full time job and after all this time I still absolutely love what I'm doing.
With a deep appreciation for the time-honoured craft of crochet, EKA is a tribute to the art and tradition. Drawing inspiration from childhood memories and books and films that I love, I decided to create a brand that would honour the nostalgic beauty of handmade crochet. EKA, meaning "one" in Sanskrit, reflects my dedication to unique and individual creations while also honouring the Indian township that makes my collection possible while supporting my ethics.
It really feels like we're redefining the boundaries of crochet and at the same time, reviving appreciation for handmade creations in a world filled with fast fashion.
As consumers increasingly seek unique and sustainable alternatives, our dedication to craftsmanship, creativity, and the enduring beauty of handmade crochet have been our guiding principles and strong foundations.
