Hello! We're Rebecca and Martin at Eric & Albert - a small family business making sustainable wooden toys, by hand, based in the hills of Mid Wales.
All of our toys are made and painted individually by hand, made slowly and carefully and with a big pinch of love! Each toy is carved individually and hand painted resulting in unique pieces and characters.
We make everything as gently and sustainably as we can ensuring that we can have little magical toys without costing us the planet.
Our toys are timeless, heirloom toys designed to last and be passed down through the generations. We feel that the stepping back to the traditional way of making things properly and slowly in a way that will last, brings as much joy to the makers as well as the children they're designed for.

A few favourite PIECEs
We began, as many do (!) at the dining room table and in the garage making our little wooden toys. Over the years we have grown a small team within our Eric and Albert family helping us send our little critters to the furthest corners of the globe!
We launched our company in 2017 with our original Winter Collection, and the rest is history! We love listening to our customers to hear what they want next, making sure that little imaginations are fuelled for years with family favourites and pieces made to last and be passed on.
We have been crafting and designing our timeless wooden toys with our son in tow since 2017. We live in mid Wales making our little creations in our Workshop and Studio with our small team of part time parents - sharing the juggling of every day life and working together. We carry out everything in house with our small team, from designing, making, packaging, marketing and everything in between! All our wood is grown sustainably in the UK to minimise our carbon footprint and ensure we are using local resources. We bring our pieces to life with a splash of colour and detail using all natural, vegan, plant based stains ensuring that there are no nasties on our toys.
We love to think of our business and our brand as a family. Indeed even our name - "Eric and Albert" was inspired by our two creative Grandad's who shaped our childhoods with all things creative and crafty! Eric was Rebecca's late Grandad who was an amazing artist and taught her to paint from a very young age. Albert was Martin's late Grandad who was forever tinkering in the shed at the end of the garden, creating latest inventions!
